Prabhas's latest film, The Raja Saab, has completed its first week in theaters, with collections showing a steady trend on its seventh day. According to early estimates, the film earned approximately ₹5.65 crore net in India across all languages on Thursday, January 15, 2026. This brings the total India net collection to ₹130.40 crore.
Despite the Sankranti holiday, which provided a boost in the Telugu states, the film has shown minimal growth. The Telugu occupancy on Day 7 was 36.80%, with evening shows performing the best at 47.34%. In contrast, the Hindi occupancy was significantly lower at 9.21%.
The Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi, was released on January 9, 2026, amid high expectations. However, the film received mixed reviews, with some criticism directed towards the storyline and performances. The opening day collection was strong at ₹53.75 crore, but the film experienced a significant drop on the second day.
The day-wise collections in India are as follows:
- Paid premieres: ₹9.15 crore
- Day 1: ₹53.75 crore
- Day 2: ₹26 crore
- Day 3: ₹19.1 crore
- Day 4: ₹6.6 crore
- Day 5: ₹4.8 crore
- Day 6: ₹5.75 crore
- Day 7: ₹5.65 crore
Worldwide, The Raja Saab has grossed approximately ₹163 crore, including ₹32 crore from international markets.
Made on a reported budget of ₹400 crore, The Raja Saab needs to earn significantly more to be considered a financial success. As of day 7, the film has recovered only 31.16% of its budget. The theatrical recovery is expected to fall well short of ₹100 crore, leading to potential losses for the producers.
While the film is expected to continue its run in the Telugu states due to the holiday period, the Hindi version is predicted to decline. Experts predict that The Raja Saab may reach ₹150 crore in India, with a final worldwide gross of around ₹180-185 crore, falling short of the ₹200 crore mark.
Despite the mixed reception, The Raja Saab has crossed the ₹130 crore mark in India, demonstrating sustained audience interest. However, the film's performance has been a disappointment, and it is unlikely to achieve blockbuster status.
