Punjabi actress Mandy Takhar and her husband, Shekhar Kaushal, have officially filed for mutual divorce, less than two years after their marriage in February 2024. The Saket Court in Delhi granted the divorce on Friday.

Reportedly, Takhar and Kaushal had been living separately for the past year due to personal differences. On Friday, they submitted the first motion for mutual divorce before the Saket Court, which approved their plea. Advocate Ishaan Mukherjee, representing Mandy Takhar, confirmed the divorce.

The news of the separation first surfaced earlier in January 2026 when observant fans noticed that Takhar had deleted her wedding photos and videos from her social media accounts. Further fueling speculation, both Takhar and Kaushal had unfollowed each other on social media. While neither Takhar nor Kaushal have released an official statement regarding the reasons for their separation, the removal of their memories together online and their social media unfollowing hinted at trouble in paradise.

Takhar, a well-known face in the Punjabi film industry, has starred in movies like "Mirza - The Untold Story", "Sardaar Ji", and "Rabb Da Radio". Her marriage to Kaushal in 2024 was a celebrated event, with the actress sharing numerous photos and videos from the ceremony and their life together.

The divorce comes as a surprise to many fans, especially since the couple would have celebrated their second anniversary in February 2026. The news follows closely on the heels of another high-profile divorce announcement in the Punjabi entertainment industry, with singer and actor Parmish Verma also recently announcing his divorce.
