Motorola is set to launch its new flagship device, the Motorola Signature, in India on January 23rd, shortly after its debut at CES 2026. This marks the beginning of Motorola's Signature series, replacing the Edge lineup as their premium, non-foldable offering. The company aims to compete with other premium flagships in the Indian market.
The Motorola Signature distinguishes itself by focusing on both high-end hardware and exclusive services. Motorola claims it will be India's first smartphone to offer 24/7 exclusive privileges, including concierge-style assistance for travel, dining, wellness, and lifestyle needs, as well as access to exclusive clubs. A "Signature Club" welcome offer will provide new users with a complimentary service booking worth up to ₹6000 through the app.
Under the hood, the Motorola Signature is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and features Motorola's Arctic Mesh cooling system. It will be available with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The device boasts a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. Motorola claims the display can reach a peak brightness of 6,200 nits. The device also features stereo speakers with Sound by BOSE.
The Motorola Signature features a triple camera setup, including a Sony LYTIA 828 primary sensor with 3.5° optical image stabilization. It supports up to 8K video recording and Dolby Vision video capture. The rear camera setup also includes a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. The phone has received positive reviews, ranking seventh in DxOMark's smartphone camera rankings, surpassing devices like the Pixel 10 Pro XL, Huawei Pura 70 Ultra, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. DxOMark noted improved noise control and image processing, especially in low-light conditions.
The device is powered by a 5,200mAh battery and supports 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Other features include NFC, Bluetooth 6, USB 3.2, and a slim 6.99mm body, weighing 186 grams. The phone also has an aluminum frame. Despite its thin design, it also carries an IP69 rating and MIL-STD-810H military certification.
The Motorola Signature will be available on Flipkart, Motorola.in, and in offline stores. While the official price will be announced at launch, leaks suggest the top-end configuration (16GB RAM/1TB storage) will be priced at ₹84,999. Pricing is expected to start at ₹55,999 ($620) for the base 8GB/256GB model. The phone will come in Pantone Carbon and Pantone Martini Olive color variants. The Motorola Signature will run on Motorola's own skin based on Android 16 and will receive 7 years of OS updates and 7 years of security patches. Motorola is also promising AI features like AI Signature Style, AI Adaptive Stabilisation, and AI Action Shot.
