In a concerning turn of events, popular Punjabi and Bollywood singer B Praak has reportedly received a death threat from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, demanding a hefty sum of ₹10 crore. The threat was allegedly conveyed in a voice message to Dilnoor, an associate of B Praak, by an individual identifying himself as Arju Bishnoi, a member of the gang.
The caller ominously warned that failure to comply with their demand within a week would result in dire consequences, stating they would "reduce him to dust". The message further threatened harm to anyone associated with the singer if found nearby, regardless of the country they may be in. The call, made from a foreign number on January 6, delivered the chilling message: "Pass this message to B Praak that we want ₹10cr,".
Following the alarming threat, Dilnoor promptly filed a written complaint with the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Mohali on January 6, leading to the initiation of a police investigation into the matter.
B Praak is known for his chart-topping songs such as "Teri Mitti" and "Ranjha".
This incident occurs amidst a series of violent activities linked to the Bishnoi gang in Delhi. Recent incidents include firing rounds outside a businessman's house in Rohini, and similar attacks targeting a gym in Paschim Vihar and another businessman in East Delhi. The modus operandi involves phone threats followed by gunfire outside the targeted premises. Delhi Police have reportedly arrested criminals involved in some of these incidents after encounters.
