Ram Charan recently shared insights into his friendship with Jr NTR, particularly focusing on Jr NTR's driving skills, during an appearance on the Season 2 finale of the automobile show Cars With Stars.
When asked which member of the film industry he would trust to drive at 250 km/h while he was in the passenger seat, Ram Charan immediately named his RRR co-star, Jr NTR. Despite this vote of confidence, Ram Charan playfully described Jr NTR as a "crazy, mad" driver.
Ram Charan elaborated that while he enjoys being behind the wheel himself, he acknowledged Jr NTR's enthusiasm for driving. He recounted anecdotes he had heard from friends who had "very weird experiences" as passengers with Jr NTR. Ram Charan himself recalled "one experience" with Jr NTR behind the wheel, leading him to conclude that, despite the craziness, Jr NTR is "the safest of the lot". When further prodded if there was any actor he would not want to be in a car with, Ram Charan declined to answer.
The camaraderie between Ram Charan and Jr NTR extends beyond their on-screen collaboration in the blockbuster film RRR. Their friendship defied perceived rivalries between their respective families, the Nandamuri and Konidela families. During the promotion of RRR, Ram Charan emphasized that friendship was the only path for them, as they were "bored with the news of rivalry for more than three decades". Jr NTR echoed this sentiment, describing their bond as a "support system" where they "complement each other" and share secrets. The two actors initially bonded at a celebrity cricket tournament several years ago.
Both actors have been busy with their respective projects since the release of RRR. Ram Charan starred in Shankar's Game Changer in 2025, while Jr NTR made his Bollywood debut in Ayan Mukerji's War 2. Fans have expressed desire to see them act together in RRR 2.
