Pakistan's Resolve: Eradicating Terrorism and Ensuring Regional Stability, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Pakistan is determined to defeat terrorism and will throw it into the Indian Ocean, declared Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday. Speaking at a meeting with senior clerics from the National Paigham-i-Aman Committee, Sharif emphasized Pakistan's unwavering resolve to eradicate the menace of terrorism from its soil.

Sharif highlighted the immense sacrifices made by Pakistan in the fight against terrorism, with over 100,000 citizens losing their lives. He called for international recognition of these sacrifices and urged the global community to acknowledge Pakistan's critical role in combating terrorism.

The Prime Minister acknowledged the resurging threat of terrorism, noting a dangerous alliance between the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan (TTA), allegedly supported by foreign powers. Sharif asserted that Pakistan possesses solid evidence of a link between the Afghan Taliban and the TTP. He vowed to root out terrorism from Pakistan's borders, crush it, and consign it to the depths of the Indian Ocean.

During his address, Sharif also reflected on the May 2025 victory against India, attributing the success to divine support, the courage of the Pakistan Army, and the collective prayers of the nation. He highlighted the defeat of Indian forces, led by Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, as a significant milestone in Pakistan's history.

Sharif stressed the importance of safeguarding religious freedom for all Pakistanis and acknowledged the role of clerics in countering extremism and bolstering the national narrative. He called upon the National Paigham-i-Aman Committee to strengthen the nation's stance against extremism and terrorism. He also highlighted the importance of national unity and urged dialogue among stakeholders to resolve issues collectively.

In addition to addressing terrorism, Sharif reiterated his commitment to combating poverty, unemployment, and national debt. He noted Pakistan's vast natural resources, suggesting their exploration as a solution to these economic challenges. He expressed optimism that effectively exploring these resources could help overcome poverty, unemployment, and debt.
