Vir Das Implements No Cell Phone Rule on Happy Patel Sets: Exploring the Reasons Behind the Decision.

Vir Das has revealed the reason behind implementing a no cell phone policy on the sets of his directorial venture, "Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos". The actor-director said that the decision was made to boost productivity and efficiency during the shoot.

Das explained that he wanted to complete the film, a "tiny film, shot in 31 days", on a tight budget and within a short schedule. He felt that standard film set practices would slow things down. Therefore, he decided to do the opposite of what most people do in the industry. In addition to banning cell phones, Das also implemented a no-entourage policy and had one common hair and makeup crew for all cast members.

Das told Mid-Day that the no-cell-phone policy significantly benefited the production. He said that it sped up shooting by one and a half times. By minimizing distractions, the team was able to maintain focus and complete the film in just 31 days. Das believes that this focus helped the team complete the film in record time.

Das is proud to have established a new culture on movie sets with his unconventional methods. He is thrilled with the outcome of this approach. According to The Hollywood Reporter India, the restrictions created a shared rhythm on set.

"Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos" features several high-profile cameos, including Aamir Khan and Imran Khan. The film has six action sequences and 14 original pieces of music.

Mithila Palkar, who stars in "Happy Patel," shared how the set broke Bollywood's entourage culture, with no phones or personal teams. She also revealed that the slaps seen in the film were real. According to Palkar, Das wanted honesty in the scenes.
