Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu departed for Davos, Switzerland, on Sunday, January 18, 2026, to participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting. The four-day visit, scheduled from January 19 to 22, will see the Chief Minister lead a delegation comprising ministers and senior officials from Andhra Pradesh.
The Chief Minister's agenda includes a series of high-profile engagements, reflecting a strategic effort to showcase Andhra Pradesh's growth potential and attract global investments. He is scheduled to participate in 36 confirmed engagements, including 16 one-on-one meetings with global business leaders, nine roundtables and thematic sessions, and three government-to-government meetings.
Naidu's itinerary began with a departure from Vijayawada for New Delhi, followed by a flight to Zurich, where he is expected to arrive on the morning of January 19. In Zurich, he will meet with Mridul Kumar, the Indian Ambassador to Switzerland, and executives from Eros Innovation Group. He will also address a Telugu diaspora event organized by the Indian Embassy, bringing together Non-Resident Telugus from approximately 20 countries.
Upon arrival in Davos, the Chief Minister will participate in a government-to-government meeting with Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, the UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism. He is also slated to meet with Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran and CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee to explore potential collaborations in infrastructure, clean energy, manufacturing, and technology.
Naidu will engage in discussions focused on industrial growth, innovation, and sustainable development. He is also scheduled to deliver a keynote address at a Bloomberg event centered on artificial intelligence and its transformative impact on the global economy. Furthermore, he will participate in discussions on climate finance, regenerative food systems, and large-scale infrastructure development.
The Andhra Pradesh government aims to convey a strong message to global leaders, emphasizing the state's stability, investor-friendly policies, and future-readiness. The visit is geared towards rebuilding confidence and fostering growth, partnerships, and global relevance for Andhra Pradesh.
Chief Minister Naidu is expected to depart from Zurich on January 22 and arrive in Hyderabad on the morning of January 23, concluding his visit. The overall objective of the visit is to further establish Andhra Pradesh as a global investment destination.
