Chandigarh, January 19, 2026 – The final opportunity to apply for the Punjab Group D Recruitment 2025 is today, January 19, 2026. The Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) is conducting this recruitment drive to fill 406 Group D vacancies across various departments of the Punjab Government.
Vacancies and Posts
The recruitment aims to fill 406 positions. These positions include roles such as Attendant, Watchman (Chokidaar), Office Helper, Laboratory Attendant, Sweeper, Servant, Gardener, and Fish Farmer.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for these positions, candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th class) from a recognized board. Furthermore, they must have passed Punjabi at the matriculation level, as per the Punjab Civil Services Rules, 1994. All required certificates must have been issued before the final application date. The age limit for applicants is between 18 and 37 years as of January 1, 2025. Age relaxations are applicable for candidates belonging to SC, BC, EWS, and other categories as per Punjab government rules.

Exam Details

The PSSSB has increased the total number of vacancies from 368 to 406 after receiving fresh requisitions from various departments. This includes the addition of 33 posts in the Deputy Commissioner's Office and 5 posts in the Development and Panchayat Department.
