On Monday evening, an accident in Mumbai involving a vehicle from Akshay Kumar's security convoy resulted in serious injuries to an autorickshaw driver and a passenger. The incident occurred around 9 pm near Mukteshwar Road in Juhu. According to reports, a speeding Mercedes struck the autorickshaw, causing it to collide with a vehicle in Kumar's security entourage.

Akshay Kumar and his wife, Twinkle Khanna, were returning home from the airport after an overseas trip when the accident occurred. While they were in the second car of the convoy and remained unharmed, the accident caused significant damage and injuries. Visuals from the scene showed the autorickshaw severely crushed. One video circulating on social media depicted an Innova, part of the convoy, overturned and resting on two wheels.

Eyewitnesses reported that Akshay Kumar and his staff immediately exited their vehicle to assist those trapped in the autorickshaw. They helped to lift the auto and free the driver and passenger.

Mohammad Sameer, the brother of the injured autorickshaw driver, spoke to the media about the incident. According to Sameer, the Mercedes struck the Innova, which then crashed into the autorickshaw, crushing his brother and another passenger. He expressed deep concern for his brother's critical condition and appealed for assistance in providing him with the best possible medical treatment. "My brother was crushed in the accident," he stated. "There was another passenger in the rickshaw who was also badly injured. My brother's condition is very critical. We only hope that he receives good treatment".

Police have registered a case against the Mercedes driver for rash and negligent driving and are currently investigating the incident. The injured individuals were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Vishwas Nangare Patil, Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Maharashtra, was present at the scene to assess the situation.

The accident caused a commotion in the busy Juhu area, especially since Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was attending an event nearby, drawing a large crowd and media presence. Authorities cleared the damaged vehicles to ease traffic congestion.

This incident occurred shortly after Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.
