Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun overjoyed to represent Sindhi culture in 'Dhurandhar' with leading roles.

Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun, the lead actors in the recently released film "Dhurandhar," shared their excitement about portraying Sindhi characters. In an exclusive interview with NDTV, Sara Arjun, daughter of Sindhi actors Raj Arjun and Sanya Arjun, expressed her delight in working alongside Ranveer Singh, stating, "We were both very happy to be the two Sindhi leads of Dhurandhar. We spoke about Sindhi food too".

The casting of Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun in "Dhurandhar" initially sparked discussions online, mainly due to the age gap between the actors. Sara Arjun, however, addressed the concerns, stating that she deliberately avoided social media before the film's release to avoid the "noise" surrounding the issue. She emphasized that she knew the story and found the casting justified within the narrative's context.

Despite the initial chatter, Sara Arjun has lauded Ranveer Singh as an exceptional co-star. She stated that "No matter who I work with in the future, I don't think anybody can top Ranveer, he has set the bar so high". She praised his dedication to his craft and his inclusive attitude towards the entire film crew. She also acknowledged being initially starstruck by Sanjay Dutt upon meeting him on set.

Ranveer Singh, in turn, has been highly appreciative of Sara Arjun's talent. He has called her a "prodigy" and "one of the finest actors" he has worked with, even comparing her to Dakota Fanning. Singh commended Arjun's previous work and expressed his belief that "Dhurandhar" would showcase her potential to a wider audience. He also humorously acknowledged Arjun's talent by saying, "You make me look better".

"Dhurandhar," directed by Aditya Dhar, was released on December 5, 2025. The film's trailer generated considerable buzz, promising an action-packed and dramatic story. Sara Arjun is also slated to appear in the Telugu film "Euphoria," scheduled for release on February 6.
