Tottenham Hotspur forwards Randal Kolo Muani and Wilson Odobert were involved in a car crash on January 27, 2026. The incident involved a Ferrari, which sustained significant damage to its right-hand side, including a cracked windshield and deployed airbags. The accident occurred on a Hertfordshire motorway, causing a temporary lane closure due to an oil spillage.
Initial reports and images circulating on social media depicted the two players at the scene, with the damaged vehicle in a layby. Repair personnel were assisting at the scene. Fortunately, both players emerged from the incident without any apparent injuries.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank addressed the situation in a pre-match press conference on Tuesday, confirming that Kolo Muani and Odobert were "fine" following the minor accident. According to Frank, the accident was caused by a tire blowing up. Despite the incident, he anticipates that both players will be available for their Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt. However, they experienced a slight delay in their travel.
Frank also provided updates on other team members. Pedro Porro will be out for four weeks due to a hamstring injury, and Micky van de Ven did not travel, although he may be available for the weekend match.
The accident involving Kolo Muani and Odobert adds to a string of unfortunate events for Tottenham Hotspur players recently. Just last week, another Tottenham player, Destiny Udogie, experienced an attack on his vehicle, with the back window of his Range Rover being smashed. This incident occurred months after Udogie was allegedly threatened with a gun in September. In April 2023, Udogie was involved in a car crash in Italy where he crashed his Mercedes SUV into a bar terrace.
The Tottenham team is preparing for their Champions League match against Eintracht Frankfurt. The match is scheduled for 8pm GMT on Wednesday. A victory against Eintracht Frankfurt would secure Tottenham's place in the round of 16.
