Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 Storms Japan: A Blockbuster Success, Lands Among Top Indian Films There.

Allu Arjun's "Pushpa 2: The Rule" is making waves in Japan, achieving a spot in the top 10 highest-grossing Indian films in the country. The Telugu action drama, directed by Sukumar, has captivated Japanese audiences, solidifying Allu Arjun's position as a global star.

Released in Japan as "Pushpa Kunrin" on January 16, approximately a year after its initial release, "Pushpa 2" has grossed ¥105 million (₹6.06 crore) in its first 14 days. This impressive performance allowed it to surpass Aamir Khan's "Dhoom 3," which earned ¥104.5 million (₹6.03 crore), to claim the tenth position. The film also recorded 17,000 footfalls during this period.

While "Pushpa 2" has garnered a lot of attention, it still has a ways to go to match the success of "RRR," which holds the record for the highest-grossing Indian film in Japan with a whopping ¥2.42 billion. "RRR" earned around ¥140 million in its first two weeks.

Allu Arjun and his co-star Rashmika Mandanna visited Tokyo to promote "Pushpa 2" before its release. Arjun delighted fans by delivering his popular dialogue from the film in Japanese, receiving cheers and applause.

"Pushpa 2" is the sequel to the 2021 hit "Pushpa: The Rise". The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, with music by T Series. Besides Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, the film also stars Fahadh Faasil.

The success of "Pushpa 2" in Japan highlights the increasing popularity of Telugu cinema in international markets.
