Paytm has launched a new 'Hide Payment' feature designed to give users more control over their transaction history and enhance privacy. This feature allows users to hide and unhide selected transactions, providing greater discretion over their payment records without compromising the security and accessibility of the data.

The 'Hide Payment' feature addresses the increasing need for privacy in digital transactions. Whether it's a surprise gift, a late-night snack, a pharmacy visit, or a personal purchase, users can now keep these transactions out of immediate view. This feature is particularly useful in situations where users might share their transaction history with others but prefer to keep certain payments private.

To hide a transaction, users can follow these simple steps:

  1. Open the Paytm app and go to the "Balance & History" section.
  2. Swipe left on the transaction they want to hide.
  3. Tap the "Hide" option.
  4. Confirm the action by selecting "Yes" on the confirmation prompt.

Once these steps are completed, the payment will be hidden from the main transaction history.

Unhiding a transaction is equally straightforward:

  1. Open the Paytm app and go to the "Balance & History" section.
  2. Tap the three-dot icon next to 'Payment History'.
  3. Select "View Hidden Payments" from the menu.
  4. Enter your mobile handset's access PIN or provide biometric (finger/face) verification to view the hidden payment.
  5. Swipe left on the transaction they wish to unhide.
  6. Tap on "Unhide."

The transaction will then reappear in the regular payment history.

A Paytm spokesperson stated that the 'Hide Payment' feature reflects the company's commitment to understanding and meeting customer needs through innovative mobile payment solutions. This feature enables individuals to maintain privacy while enjoying the convenience of digital payments, adding more control and comfort to their everyday financial interactions.

The launch of the 'Hide Payment' feature is part of Paytm's ongoing efforts to enhance the user experience and offer personalized digital payment tools. Recently, Paytm introduced a QR Widget for quick access to scan and pay, options to check UPI-linked bank account balances, and the ability to download UPI statements in Excel and PDF formats directly from the app. Additionally, Paytm has expanded its support for international UPI payments to countries such as the UAE, Singapore, France, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan.
