The first T20I between Bangladesh and Pakistan is set to take place on July 20, 2025, marking the start of a three-match series. Cricket fans in India can catch the live streaming action on the FanCode app and website. However, there will be no live telecast of the match on any TV channel in India.

The match is scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM IST, with the toss taking place 30 minutes earlier at 5:00 PM IST. All three T20Is in the series will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka. The subsequent matches are scheduled for July 22 and July 24.

This series marks Pakistan's first tour of Bangladesh since December 2021. In May-June 2025, Bangladesh toured Pakistan for a three-match T20I series where Pakistan secured a clean sweep. Now, Bangladesh will be looking to leverage their home advantage to reverse the results.

Bangladesh enters the series with a recent T20I series win against Sri Lanka, which should boost their confidence. In contrast, Pakistan will be without key players such as Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi, with Salman Ali Agha leading the side. This provides an opportunity for new talents like Ahmed Daniyal and Mohammad Salman Mirza to showcase their abilities on the international stage.

Squads:

  • Bangladesh: Litton Das (c), Jaker Ali Anik, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mohammad Naim Sheikh, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mustafizur Rahman, Nasum Ahmed, Parvez Hossain Emon, Rishad Hossain, Shak Mahedi Hasan, Shamim Hossain Patwari, Shoriful Islam, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Taskin Ahmed, and Towhid Hridoy.
  • Pakistan: Salman Ali Agha (c), Abrar Ahmed, Ahmed Daniyal, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Hassan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Haris, Mohammad Nawaz, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Salman Mirza, and Sufyan Moqim.

Historically, Pakistan has dominated T20Is against Bangladesh, winning 19 out of 22 matches. However, with a slightly weakened Pakistan side and Bangladesh playing at home after a series win, the contest promises to be competitive. Spinners are expected to play a crucial role on the Dhaka pitch.

Both teams will be aiming to fine-tune their squads, keeping an eye on the upcoming Asia Cup 2025 and the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 , which will be held in India and Sri Lanka.
