Yash's upcoming pan-Indian film, "Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups," has roped in Hollywood action director JJ Perry to choreograph its high-octane action sequences. Perry, known for his work in blockbuster franchises like "John Wick" and "Fast & Furious," is currently in Mumbai, overseeing a 45-day action schedule with an all-Indian stunt team.

Perry's involvement signals a commitment to creating a new grammar of action for Indian cinema while retaining an emotional core. He has been working closely with Yash, director Geetu Mohandas, and producer Venkat K Narayana to bring their vision to life. The elaborate action sequences have been months in the making, shaped through detailed storyboarding, tactical rehearsals, and artistic exchanges.

"This Indian crew is world-class. That's why I chose to work with them," Perry stated, praising the precision and dedication of the Indian stunt team. He added, "We're tackling a major sequence right now, and I love a great challenge. This team is meeting it head-on - we're here to push boundaries together, and that's what filmmaking is".

Perry, who has worked across 39 countries in his 35-year career, expressed his admiration for Indian cinema, calling it "creative, artistic, and bold". He noted that working with Yash, Geetu, Venkat, and their team has been a career highlight. He also lauded Geetu Mohandas' vision and the contributions of cinematographer Rajeev Ravi and the art and production design crew.

"Toxic" is being filmed simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. This makes it a first-of-its-kind bilingual production on such a large scale. The aim is to maintain authenticity while ensuring global reach.

In an earlier interview, Yash addressed the delay in completing the film, citing date issues that caused a setback. "We had to start a little early, but something went wrong. We had some date issues, so it took more time than expected," he explained.

"Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups" is jointly produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The film is slated for a worldwide release on March 19, 2026.
