Teams ranking second through sixth will have an opportunity to qualify through the 2026 Men's FIH Hockey World Cup Qualifiers, scheduled for February-March next year.

Schedule and Format

The Asia Cup 2025 will feature eight teams divided into two pools of four. Following a single-headed round-robin within each group, the top two teams from each pool will advance to the Super 4s stage. In this stage, teams will compete in a secondary pool, and be ranked from first to fourth. The top two teams from the Super 4s will then compete in the final on September 7th. The third and fourth-placed teams from the Super 4s will play in a third-place playoff on the same day. The tournament officially kicks off on August 29 with a match between Malaysia and Bangladesh in Pool B.
