The wedding of television actress Arti Singh to businessman Dipak Chauhan was a grand affair, but what truly stood out was the presence of her maternal uncle, Govinda. The veteran actor's attendance was particularly significant given his well-documented estrangement from Arti's brother, Krushna Abhishek, and his wife, Kashmera Shah. For Arti, Govinda's presence was nothing short of the "best gift".

The wedding, held on April 25th at the ISKCON temple in Juhu, Mumbai, was attended by numerous celebrities, including Krushna Abhishek and Kashmera Shah, who were elegantly dressed in coordinated white outfits. However, the arrival of Govinda was the highlight of the evening. He was dressed in a black bandhgala and greeted the paparazzi with a flying kiss before heading inside the venue. Govinda's wife, Sunita Ahuja, and their children did not attend the wedding.

The relationship between Govinda and Krushna Abhishek reportedly soured a few years ago after a bitter exchange between their wives. Since then, there had been attempts to reconcile, but the presence of Govinda at the wedding suggested that things might be improving.

Kashmera Shah expressed her joy and relief at Govinda's attendance. She recounted how she was the only one present at the entrance when he arrived, as Krushna was on stage with Arti. She shared that she bowed to him with a namaste, and he smiled back. Kashmera then led him to the stage and bent down to touch his feet, but he stopped her, blessing her instead with "Jeete raho, khush raho". She also expressed happiness that her children got to meet their "Chi Chi mama" for the first time and receive his blessings.

When approached by Times Now/Telly Talk India, Govinda simply said, "Badhai ho" (Congratulations). When further asked to give a wish to the couple, he replied, "Baccho ke isme, ye sabhi cheezein discuss nahi ki jaati hai".

Arti Singh herself has spoken about the importance of Govinda's presence at her wedding. In a podcast with Paras Chhabra, she said that she was the happiest when her "Chi Chi mama" arrived. She noted that while he was there for a limited time, his presence meant a lot to her because it brought their family together after a long time.

The wedding was arranged. Arti and Dipak first spoke on July 23rd of the previous year and met after his birthday on August 5th. They decided to commit to the relationship in November, but only moved forward after both families approved. Dipak proposed to Arti on January 1st at her Guruji's temple in Delhi.

Govinda's attendance at Arti Singh's wedding was more than just a family event; it symbolized a potential reconciliation and a heartwarming moment for the entire family. It was, indeed, the "best gift" Arti could have asked for.
