In a harrowing incident in Greater Noida, a man allegedly murdered his wife and brother-in-law before taking his own life by hanging. The incident occurred in Roza Jalalpur, leaving the community in shock.

According to reports from September 29, 2025, the man killed his wife and brother-in-law before committing suicide. Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem and have begun an investigation into the matter.

In a similar incident from August 2018, a 47-year-old man in Greater Noida allegedly killed his 34-year-old wife after a fight and then hanged himself. The man reportedly discovered that it was his wife's second marriage and suspected her of having an affair with his sister, which led to depression. The wife's brother and relatives found the door bolted from the inside after they were unable to reach her. Police broke down the door and found the woman's body with severe head injuries and the man hanging from the ceiling.

Another case from September 2024 involved a 35-year-old man who, with the help of his younger brother, killed his seven-month pregnant wife and attempted to stage the crime scene. The brother-in-law allegedly slashed the woman's neck, and the husband inflicted minor injuries on himself to mislead the police. The couple had a three-year-old son, and the husband worked at a dental clinic in Greater Noida. Police investigations revealed that the husband was demanding more dowry from the victim and had been planning to kill her for several days.

In April 2025, a Noida man allegedly killed his wife with a hammer due to suspicions of an extramarital affair and then surrendered to the police. The 55-year-old man, a computer engineering graduate, suspected his 42-year-old wife of having an affair. The victim, a civil engineer, lived with her husband and two children in Sector 15, Noida. The couple had been quarreling for several days, and the woman had sought her sister's intervention on the morning of the incident.

Another incident from August 2025 involved the arrest of a victim's brother-in-law in a dowry murder case in Greater Noida. The husband was accused of setting his wife on fire, and she later succumbed to her injuries. The victim's father reported that his daughter had 70% burns and was pronounced dead at Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi.
