Janhvi Kapoor: Star kids complaining about struggle is 'tone deaf' and 'just not right'.

Janhvi Kapoor has recently shared her perspective on the "insider vs. outsider" debate prevalent in Bollywood, acknowledging the different realities faced by those with and without industry connections. In a conversation with Filmfare, the actress admitted she dislikes the division and finds it unfair for star kids to publicly discuss their struggles, considering the vastly different challenges faced by outsiders.

Kapoor, daughter of late actress Sridevi and filmmaker Boney Kapoor, stated that "nobody is interested in listening" to the struggles of star kids, further explaining that because they come from privileged backgrounds, people are less likely to be sympathetic. She believes it's "just not right" for them to complain, as they should be grateful for what they have. "I don't think we should even complain, because we are very grateful for whatever we've got," she said.

Kapoor went on to say that while everyone faces difficulties, the struggles of outsiders are very different and cannot be truly understood by those who grew up within the industry. She feels it is "tone-deaf" for star kids to complain about their hardships, as "no one wants to listen to that". She also doesn't like the insider-outsider division.

This isn't the first time Janhvi Kapoor has addressed the challenges faced by star children. She has previously spoken about social media trolling and the constant scrutiny that celebrity kids face. In an interview with Mashable India, she expressed resilience in the face of negativity, focusing on her work and personal growth and not giving importance to things around her. She also confessed that she has not been immune to criticism and trolls due to her background.

Kapoor's recent comments echo similar sentiments expressed by other Bollywood figures in the past. The debate about nepotism and the advantages afforded to star kids has been a long-standing topic of discussion in the Hindi film industry. While acknowledging the privileges she has, Kapoor seems to be advocating for greater awareness and sensitivity towards the experiences of those who don't have the same advantages.

In the past, Ananya Panday faced backlash for comments on struggling. To this, Siddhant Chaturvedi responded that "their struggle begins where our dreams are fulfilled".

Kapoor's latest film, "Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari," was recently released and has garnered positive feedback.
