Anshula Kapoor, daughter of film producer Boney Kapoor and sister to actor Arjun Kapoor, has officially kicked off her wedding celebrations with screenwriter Rohan Thakkar. The couple, who got engaged in a romantic proposal in New York's Central Park in July 2025, celebrated their engagement with an intimate ceremony in Mumbai on October 2, 2025, coinciding with Dussehra.
On Thursday, October 2, the Gor Dhana ceremony, a pre-wedding Gujarati ritual, took place. On Saturday, October 4, Anshula shared glimpses of the festivities on her Instagram, marking the first official pictures from the celebrations.
The engagement celebrations commenced with a special puja, followed by a low-key gathering of close friends and family. The function was held at Boney Kapoor's Bandra residence. Among those in attendance were her father Boney, brother Arjun, and sisters Khushi and Janhvi Kapoor. Cousins Shanaya Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor were also present to celebrate with the couple. Sonam Kapoor's appearance was particularly noted as her first public appearance amidst rumors of her second pregnancy.
Anshula and Rohan's love story began in 2022 after they met on a dating app. Rohan proposed to Anshula in Central Park in July 2025, exactly three years after they first connected online. Anshula described the proposal as a magical moment, noting that Rohan proposed at 1:15 AM India time, the exact hour they first started talking.
The couple is reportedly planning to tie the knot in December.
