Raghav Juyal, the actor currently garnering praise for his performance in 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood', recently shared a memorable anecdote about his first visit to Shah Rukh Khan's iconic residence, Mannat. In an exclusive interview, Juyal recalled the experience, highlighting a humorous blunder he made upon arrival.
Juyal recounted that entering Mannat for the first time was surreal. He likened the security to that of an airport, noting the presence of scanners. "The first time I entered Mannat, there was a scanner like the ones at the airport. I had to go through it because back then, people were like, 'Who is this guy? Has someone come to find work?'" Juyal told NDTV.
Adding to the slightly intimidating atmosphere, Juyal then recounted his faux pas. "By mistake, I asked Aryan which was his room," he revealed. Juyal quickly realized his error, understanding that in a house like Mannat, the concept of individual "rooms" is replaced by entire floors. "Then I realised, this is Shah Rukh Khan's house-you don't have rooms here, you have full floors," he stated. Aryan Khan, however, took the question in good humor. "Aryan just laughed and said, 'Come, let's go up,' and of course one floor was his," Juyal shared.
Following the initial interaction, Juyal spent time with Aryan, jamming and later going out for dinner with Aryan's friends. The experience left such an impact on Juyal that he immediately called his mother to share the news. "I told her, 'Mummy, I just came from Mannat,'" he said. His mother was understandably excited, asking numerous questions about the interior of the house. "She got so excited and started asking, 'How is it from inside? How is their bathroom? Did you see the library?'" Juyal recounted. He humorously replied that he hadn't gone there as a broker, telling her to relax.
Juyal also expressed his admiration for Aryan Khan's fluency in Hindi. Despite being raised in Mumbai and educated in English, Aryan, according to Juyal, speaks Hindi "very fluently and clearly". He also noted the welcoming atmosphere within Mannat, describing it as a blend of Delhi and Punjabi cultures, filled with warmth and hospitality. This welcoming environment made him feel at home.
The actor is currently receiving positive feedback for his role in 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood', directed by Aryan Khan, which began streaming on OTT platforms on September 18.
