Qure.ai, a leading AI healthcare technology company, is set to significantly scale up its partnerships with the Indian government to enhance health screenings across the country. This move aims to tap into the vast Indian public health market, where the company sees considerable potential for growth and impact.

Over the past year, Qure.ai has strategically focused on building government collaborations, recognizing that these partnerships are crucial to reaching a larger segment of the Indian population. While India currently contributes less than 5% to Qure.ai's overall revenue, the company has experienced early successes that indicate a promising future.

Qure.ai's technology is already being utilized to improve diagnostic capabilities in rural and hard-to-reach areas, benefitting over two million people. With support from the SAMRIDH Blended Finance Facility, backed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Qure.ai's screening software has facilitated over 60,000 screenings in 17 Indian states, focusing on conditions like tuberculosis (TB). The SAMRIDH facility has also enabled Qure.ai to secure an additional $40 million in equity from investors, further expanding its reach and technological capabilities.

In Goa, Qure.ai has partnered with the state government and AstraZeneca to embed AI into the public healthcare system across 18 government hospitals and health centers since 2024. Their qXR AI solution has screened over 70,000 chest X-rays, detecting more than 6,000 pulmonary nodules and flagging over 500 individuals at high risk for lung cancer. This early detection has led to timely diagnoses and treatments, saving lives and reducing costs. Goa is also set to implement a Pricing Policy for Innovative Lifesaving Therapies (PPILT), ensuring affordable access to critical healthcare needs like medical devices, diagnostics, and medicines, starting with lung cancer treatment.

Qure.ai is also working with PATH India, supported by Unitaid funding, to implement AI-enabled chest X-ray solutions for TB and COVID-19 screening in Maharashtra. The qXR software, deployed at selected sites, enhances the accuracy, speed, and efficiency of TB diagnosis, leading to better patient outcomes and a positive impact on public health. The cloud-based platform ensures seamless connectivity between different locations. In Brihanmumbai Mahanagar Pallika Hospitals, qXR has screened over 90,000 patients for TB and other chest abnormalities, resulting in a 35% increase in TB notifications.

Qure.ai's partnership with the India Health Fund (IHF) has also been crucial in driving innovation in TB screening. With an IHF grant secured in December 2019, Qure.ai has been pioneering a point-of-care system capable of digitizing analog Chest X-ray films, alongside scaling up qXR for TB screening. This project aims to revolutionize TB screening workflows digitally and equip healthcare professionals with a mobile application, redefining TB detection methods. The collaboration also includes dedicated support for paediatric TB interpretation for children aged 6-15 years.

These initiatives demonstrate Qure.ai's commitment to advancing healthcare technology and making significant strides in health screenings for communities across India. By scaling up government partnerships, Qure.ai aims to leverage its AI-powered solutions to improve public health outcomes and contribute to a healthier future for the nation.
