Las Vegas Police Address Anunay Sood's Death: Investigation Continues into the Indian Influencer's Passing

Las Vegas authorities have released a statement regarding the death of Indian travel influencer Anunay Sood, who was found dead in a Las Vegas hotel room on November 4, 2025. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) confirmed they responded to a call about a deceased individual at the 3100 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard. After assisting the coroner, officers filed a non-criminal/medical report.

Sood, a Dubai-based influencer with 1.4 million Instagram followers, was known for his luxurious lifestyle and travel storytelling. He gained recognition for his cinematic travel content across 46 countries and had been featured on the Forbes India Top 100 Digital Stars list for three consecutive years. His family confirmed his death on his official Instagram account on November 6, prompting an outpouring of condolences from his followers.

While the official cause of death is still pending a toxicology analysis and final assessment from the Clark County, Nevada coroner, initial reports suggest a possible overdose. According to an LVMPD report, individuals with Sood had trouble waking him at the Wynn Las Vegas luxury hotel, where he was staying. They initially thought he was in a deep sleep but called first responders when they couldn't rouse him.

Emergency medical personnel arrived and administered CPR and five doses of Narcan, but were unable to revive him. The police report indicates that witnesses implied his death "could be from a possible overdose". Further investigation revealed that Sood and his companions allegedly sought to "obtain some narcotics" and met a man who "sold the group what was believed to be cocaine". A woman who was with Sood told police that they purchased what they believed to be cocaine on the casino floor around 4 a.m. They allegedly took a dose of the drug before going to sleep. Approximately an hour later, the woman woke up and found Sood unresponsive. Detectives found a bag containing an unknown white substance in the hotel room.

The LVMPD has stated the incident as non-criminal. Sood's body was repatriated to India on November 10, and his funeral was held in Noida on November 11.

The family has requested privacy during this difficult time and asked the public to refrain from gathering near their property. Sood is survived by his two sisters, who also reside in Dubai. His girlfriend, Shivani Parihar, posted a tribute expressing her grief and sense of loss.

Due to the time required for toxicology reports, which can take months, the official cause of death remains undetermined. The Clark County coroner's office has listed Sood's cause and manner of death as pending. The investigation is ongoing.
