Asus is gearing up to launch its ROG Strix gaming laptops equipped with the highly anticipated RTX 5000 series GPUs in India on May 2nd, 2025. The company has been teasing the arrival of these new laptops via social media, creating significant buzz among gaming enthusiasts. Pre-orders are slated to begin on the same launch day.

The upcoming lineup is expected to include the ROG Strix G16 (2025) and ROG Strix G18 (2025) variants, which were initially showcased at CES 2025 in January. Both models boast impressive specifications, targeting gamers and content creators who demand top-tier performance.

The ROG Strix G16 (2025) features a 16-inch 2.5K (2,560x1,440 pixels) IPS LCD screen, while the ROG Strix G18 (2025) comes with a larger 18-inch display with the same resolution. Both screens offer 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, ensuring vibrant and accurate visuals.

Under the hood, the laptops will be powered by either Intel Core Ultra 9 Processor 275HX or AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D CPUs, paired with up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM. Graphics will be handled by up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 GPUs with up to 16GB of VRAM. Storage options include up to 2TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD.

Connectivity options are plentiful, with up to two Thunderbolt 5 ports, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a 2.5G Ethernet port. The Intel variants support Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, while the AMD versions include Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Both the G16 and G18 models are equipped with a 90Wh battery.

These new ROG Strix laptops are expected to deliver significant performance improvements thanks to the RTX 5000 series GPUs based on Nvidia's Blackwell architecture. The RTX 5000 series brings enhancements such as fourth-generation RT cores for ray tracing and fifth-generation Tensor Cores for AI-related tasks like DLSS 4, which generates multiple frames using AI to boost performance and improve image quality.

The launch of the Asus ROG Strix laptops with RTX 5000 series GPUs is highly anticipated in India, with pre-order benefits including extended warranty, damage protection, and ROG gaming backpacks.
