In a recent address to the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a strong message to Pakistan, asserting that India will not tolerate any attempts at "nuclear blackmail". Modi's statement underscores a significant shift in India's approach to cross-border terrorism and national security, particularly in the wake of Operation Sindoor.

Modi emphasized that India will no longer differentiate between terrorists and their state sponsors, signaling a more assertive stance against countries that harbor or support terrorist activities. This declaration marks a departure from previous policies and reflects a resolve to hold state actors accountable for their role in fostering terrorism.

The Prime Minister highlighted the success of Operation Sindoor, noting that Pakistan had pleaded for India to halt its operations after suffering significant setbacks. Modi stated that India only considered this request after Pakistan promised to cease its "misadventures". While these operations have been temporarily halted, Modi made it clear that the future of such actions would depend on Pakistan's behavior. He warned that any further acts of terrorism against India would be met with a strong and decisive response.

Air Marshal AK Bharti reinforced this message, stating that India's armed forces have halted operations but remain combat-ready. He affirmed India's integrated and multi-layered air defense capabilities, emphasizing that systems like the long-range surface-to-air defenses and the indigenous Akash missile system have performed exceptionally well. Bharti confirmed that repeated attempts by Pakistan to breach Indian defenses had been neutralized and that all Indian military bases and systems remain fully operational.

The Prime Minister's address comes amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, with concerns over cross-border terrorism and regional stability. By directly addressing the issue of "nuclear blackmail," Modi is sending a clear signal that India will not be deterred by threats and is prepared to take necessary measures to protect its national interests. The statement reflects India's commitment to maintaining peace and security in the region while also asserting its right to respond firmly to any aggression or provocation.
