Initial reports indicated that the story was originally written for Bollywood megastar Salman Khan, but Allu Arjun was later chosen due to budget considerations and his rising pan-Indian appeal following the success of "Pushpa 2".
AA22 x A6 is touted to be a groundbreaking sci-fi action thriller, a genre relatively unexplored in Indian cinema. Some reports suggest the film will be set in a parallel universe. The production team reportedly visited VFX studios in Los Angeles, indicating a commitment to cutting-edge visual effects. The film has onboarded some of the world's top VFX companies, including Lola VFX, with visual experts who have previously worked on major Hollywood productions such as "Avengers," "Avatar," "Spider-Man," "Iron Man," and "Black Panther". These experts have reportedly praised the film's script as "mindblowing" and "the best of the best".
The movie is said to be the highest-budget film of Allu Arjun's career. Some reports suggest a budget of ₹800 crore (approximately $96 million USD), with a significant portion allocated to VFX.
