Felix Rosenqvist is set to drive a unique, rock-and-roll-themed car at the upcoming Indianapolis 500. Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) has announced a collaboration with the Grammy Award-winning rock band Creed and SiriusXM's Turbo channel (channel 41) for the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500. Rosenqvist will be behind the wheel of the No. 60 Honda, sporting a vibrant new livery that showcases the iconic rock band Creed. The 109th Running of the Indianapolis 500 is scheduled for Memorial Day Weekend, May 25th, with live coverage on FOX.
This collaboration brings together the high-octane world of IndyCar racing with the electrifying energy of rock music. The No. 60 SiriusXM Honda, driven by Felix Rosenqvist, will feature an electrifying new look inspired by the adrenaline-inducing collection of 90s and 2000s hard rock on SiriusXM's exclusive Turbo channel. The car's design includes the Creed logo set against a black-and-papaya gradient.
Members of Creed are slated to attend the Indianapolis 500, marking their debut at the event. The band expressed their excitement in a press release, stating, "We are excited to attend our first Indy 500 this Memorial Day weekend. Seeing this incredible car in person will be a highlight for us. Can't wait to be there with all the fans to cheer on Felix and the entire Meyer Shank Racing Team.”
Mike Shank, co-owner of Meyer Shank Racing, also shared his enthusiasm for the partnership: “It's awesome to have Creed join us for the biggest race of the year,” said Shank. “SiriusXM has been such a great partner in helping us bring new energy and personality into the sport through music, and to bring a band like Creed to the Indy 500 is something that we're really looking forward to.”
Creed, formed in 1994 in Tallahassee, Florida, achieved mainstream success with their album "Jars of Clay" in 1999, featuring hit songs like "With Arms Wide Open" and "Higher". The band, which reunited in 2023, has sold over 53 million albums worldwide and has won a Grammy, Billboard, and American Music Award. Their music, including popular tracks like “My Sacrifice,” “One Last Breath,” and “My Own Prison,” is regularly featured on SiriusXM's Turbo channel, reaching a vast audience globally.
Felix Rosenqvist, a Swedish driver with Meyer Shank Racing, is currently 8th in the NTT IndyCar Series standings, with two Top 5 finishes in 2025. In his IndyCar career, Rosenqvist has one race win and six podium finishes. He was also named Rookie of the Year for the IndyCar Series in 2019. Rosenqvist is one of 34 drivers entered for 33 spots in the race. He has one top five in six starts, but he has also finished 27th or 28th four times in that same span.
The collaboration has been met with enthusiasm from both the racing and music communities. To mark the partnership, Rosenqvist starred in a 60-second viral video soundtracked to the 1999 hit Higher by Creed. In it, the Swede lip syncs to the band's most famous song and pretends to play the guitar and drums.
The Creed car winning the Indy 500 isn't out of the question. Rosenqvist’s strong performance in the NTT IndyCar Series standings this season makes the potential of the Creed car winning the Indy 500 a real possibility.
