The highly anticipated duet between Barbra Streisand and Paul McCartney, a reimagining of McCartney's "My Valentine," has arrived, and is already generating buzz as a potential new love anthem. The collaboration, released on May 16, 2025, is part of Streisand's upcoming album, "The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two," set to launch on June 27, 2025.

Streisand, at 83, and McCartney, at 82, blend their iconic voices in this rendition of "My Valentine," a song originally written by McCartney for his wife, Nancy Shevell. McCartney included the song on his 2012 album "Kisses on the Bottom". The original version featured Eric Clapton on acoustic guitar, and the music video starred Natalie Portman and Johnny Depp.

Streisand expressed her joy in working with McCartney, stating on Instagram, "What a joy it was to record 'My Valentine' with @paulmccartney… To share time with him in the studio was truly special!". She also noted, "I've always loved singing duets with gifted artists. They inspire me in unique and different ways and make our time in the studio a joy!".

"My Valentine" is not the first single Streisand has released from "The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two". The first single was "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face," a duet with Hozier. The album includes collaborations with a diverse and impressive array of artists, including Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Sting, Hozier, Sam Smith, Seal, Josh Groban, Tim McGraw, Laufey, Mariah Carey, and Ariana Grande. Most notably, Carey and Grande join Streisand on the same track, "One Heart, One Voice".

"The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two" is a follow-up to Streisand's 2014 album, "Partners," which achieved platinum status. Orchestrations for the album were provided by William Ross and David Campbell, recorded at The Streisand Scoring Stage in Culver City, California, and with the London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios in London. The album will be available on CD and blush-colored vinyl, featuring photos from Streisand's personal collection and detailed liner notes.

The tracklist for "The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two" is as follows: 1. The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face with Hozier 2. My Valentine with Paul McCartney 3. To Lose You Again with Sam Smith 4. The Very Thought Of You with Bob Dylan 5. Letter To My 13 Year Old Self with Laufey 6. One Heart, One Voice with Mariah Carey & Ariana Grande 7. I Love Us with Tim McGraw 8. Secret O' Life with James Taylor 9. Fragile with Sting 10. Where Do I Go From You? with Josh Groban 11. Love Will Survive with Seal

Upon its original release, "My Valentine" charted in several European countries and reached number 19 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart in the US. Rolling Stone Australia ranked it as the 71st best solo track by a member of The Beatles. American Songwriter praised its simplicity and suggested that it "may overall be McCartney's greatest love song".
