The Indian Army has released a new video showcasing Operation Sindoor, reaffirming its commitment to defending the nation and serving justice. The video, shared on social media platform X by the Western Command, highlights the planning, training, and execution involved in the operation, with the tagline "Justice served."

Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7th as a direct response to the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in the tragic loss of 26 civilian lives. The operation targeted nine terror-related sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). The Army has emphasized that the operation was not an act of revenge but a calculated act of justice.

The video released by the Army provides a glimpse into the intensity of the military action. It shows visuals of military firing and shelling on Pakistani territory. A voiceover in the video explains that on the night of May 9th, around 9 PM, Indian forces destroyed any enemy post that violated the ceasefire. It further stated that Operation Sindoor was a lesson for Pakistan that it had not learned for decades. The video also conveys the emotions driving the operation, with one security personnel stating that the anger felt after the Pahalgam attack was like molten lava. The personnel added there was a determination to teach such a lesson that their generations will remember.

Following India's actions, Pakistan responded with shelling across the Line of Control (LoC) and drone attack attempts. India retaliated with coordinated attacks, targeting radar systems, communication centers, and airfields at 11 airbases in Pakistan. On May 10th, both countries agreed to halt hostilities.

Despite the agreement to stop fighting, tensions remain. The Indian Army has stated that the ceasefire understanding with Pakistan remains in place, emphasizing that there is no expiry date to the "continuation of a break in hostilities". The Army has also warned that any violation of the ceasefire would be met with a fierce response.

Operation Sindoor has elicited varied reactions. Some believe it successfully achieved its goals of serving justice and sending a strong message. Others are concerned that it escalated tensions between the two countries. The operation and its aftermath underscore the fragile nature of peace along the LoC and the need for continued vigilance.

Earlier in the day of the video release, the Indian Army clarified that no Director General of Military Operations (DGMOs)-level talks were scheduled between India and Pakistan. The Army had also stated that the continuation of a break in hostilities, as decided in the DGMOs interaction of May 12, has no expiry date.

The release of the Operation Sindoor video serves as a reminder of the Indian military's strength and resolve to protect the nation's interests. It also highlights the complexities and challenges of maintaining peace and stability in the region.
