In a recent address in Kanpur, Prime Minister Modi delivered a strong message, asserting that India will no longer be intimidated by empty threats of nuclear weapons. This statement comes in the wake of heightened tensions and recent counter-terrorism operations undertaken by the nation.

Speaking after inaugurating development projects worth over ₹47,000 crore, Modi emphasized that the world has witnessed the power of India's indigenous weaponry during Operation Sindoor, signaling that the operation is ongoing. He referred to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, in which many innocent civilians lost their lives, and stated that India has targeted and destroyed terrorist hideouts deep inside Pakistan. He proudly mentioned the BrahMos missile, an Indian weapon, which he stated entered enemy territory and caused havoc, showcasing the strength of the "Make in India" initiative.

The Prime Minister recalled a vow he made in Bihar following the Pahalgam terror attack, stating that he had fulfilled his promise to punish the perpetrators. He had pledged to reduce terrorist hideouts to dust and ensure the terrorists would face a punishment beyond their imagination.

Modi declared that Pakistan’s tactics involving state and non-state actors would no longer be effective, warning that India will respond to terrorism on its own terms. These remarks underscore a shift in India's approach to national security, signaling a more assertive and proactive stance against terrorism.

During his Kanpur visit, the Prime Minister met with the family of Shubham Dwivedi, one of the victims of the Pahalgam attack. This meeting served as a poignant reminder of the human cost of terrorism and reinforced the government's commitment to supporting the families of those affected.

In addition to addressing national security concerns, Modi highlighted upcoming infrastructure upgrades for Kanpur, including improved expressway connectivity to eastern and western Uttar Pradesh and a resolution to traffic issues caused by railway crossings. An elevated rail corridor is planned to address these long-standing commuter problems. He also pointed to initiatives such as free Ayushman cards for senior citizens, expanded infrastructure, and enhanced energy capacity, emphasizing his government's commitment to Kanpur and Uttar Pradesh's overall progress.

The Prime Minister's address in Kanpur reflects a multi-faceted approach, combining a strong message on national security with a focus on regional development and citizen welfare. His words signal a new era of confidence and determination in India's ability to protect its interests and respond effectively to threats, while simultaneously working towards progress and prosperity for its people.
