He was diagnosed in early 2022 and had been undergoing treatment since then.

In February 2024, he underwent a critical surgery to remove the primary tumor, a procedure initially deemed too risky. Vibhu credited his recovery post-surgery to medical care, a strong mindset, and the continuous support he received from those around him.

Throughout his treatment, Vibhu openly shared updates about his condition with his followers on Instagram, documenting the difficulties he faced while also expressing gratitude for the support he received. His transparency and resilience touched many, earning him an outpouring of love and encouragement from fans and industry colleagues alike.

Vibhu's funeral procession will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd, in Mumbai. The procession will begin at 1 PM from 11, Relief Rood, Prakash Nagar, Dnyaneshwar Nagar, Jogeshwari West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400047.
