Ayodhya is witnessing yet another momentous occasion as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attends the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple on June 5, 2025. This event marks the culmination of a series of sacred rituals and signifies a further step in the completion of the Ram Temple complex. The day holds additional significance as it coincides with Chief Minister Adityanath's 53rd birthday and the celebration of Trayodashi birth anniversary of the Saryu River, adding to the spiritual ambiance of the occasion.
The 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony, which began on June 3, involves the installation of deities in eight newly constructed temples within the Ram Mandir complex. These temples are dedicated to revered Shastriya Devtas, with each deity's vigraha (idol) being consecrated with full religious observance. The deities include a Shivling in the Northeast corner (Ishan Kon), Shri Ganesha in the Southeast (Agni Kon), Balshali Hanuman Ji at the center of the Southern arm, Surya Dev in the Southwest (Nairitya Kon), Devi Bhagwati in the Northwest (Vayavya Kon), and Maa Annapurna at the center of the Northern arm. Furthermore, the 'Pran Pratishtha' of Shri Ram Darbar will take place on the first floor of the main Mandir.
The presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at the ceremony underscores the importance of the event and his long-standing spiritual connection with Ayodhya. Saints and seers have lauded Adityanath's efforts in restoring the glory of Ramnagari through the construction of the grand Ram Temple and the overall development of the city. Over the past eight years, development projects worth over Rs 32,000 crore have transformed Ayodhya, enhancing its road, rail, and air connectivity, beautifying the city, and expanding its tourism infrastructure.
The 'Pran Pratishtha' rituals, which commenced at 11 AM, included special worship, Vedic chanting, and havan ceremonies for the installation of the idols. The ceremonies were conducted by 101 scholars from Kashi and Ayodhya, following Vedic traditions. These traditions encompass Yagyashala worship, recitations from the Valmiki Ramayana, Vedic chants, and readings from the four Vedas, creating a spiritually charged atmosphere.
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust played a pivotal role in organizing the event, with General Secretary Champat Rai overseeing the preparations. The Trust has also announced that June 5 is particularly auspicious as it coincides with the Ganga Dussehra festival, commemorating the arrival of the Ganges on Earth.
Earlier, on January 22, 2024, the 'Pran Pratishtha' of Ram Lalla took place in the Ram Temple, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi participating in the rituals. The current ceremonies further enrich the temple complex and solidify Ayodhya's position as a leading cultural and spiritual destination. With the completion of the Ram Temple complex, Ayodhya is poised to welcome even more devotees and tourists, further boosting its economy and cultural significance.
