The Milwaukee Brewers and San Diego Padres faced off in the second game of their weekend series tonight at American Family Field, with the Padres looking to secure the series win after shutting out the Brewers 2-0 on Friday. Stephen Kolek took the mound for San Diego, while veteran Jose Quintana pitched for Milwaukee.

However, Robert Suarez, who has been lights out as closer for the Padres this season, entered the game and quickly shut down the threat, securing the win for San Diego.

The Padres defeated the Brewers by a score of 4-3. Kolek earned the win for his performance on the mound. Quintana was handed the loss, despite a decent outing. Suarez notched his league-leading 20th save of the season.

The game was a tight, well-pitched contest that highlighted the strengths of both teams. The Padres' ability to generate timely hits and rely on their strong bullpen proved to be the difference. The Brewers, despite the loss, showed resilience and determination, setting the stage for a competitive rubber match on Sunday.
