Poco F7 India Launch Imminent: Anticipated Price, Specifications, and Exciting Features Revealed

Poco is gearing up to launch its latest contender in the Indian smartphone market, the Poco F7. The launch is expected to happen later this month, with some sources pinpointing a possible release around June 17th or 19th. A dedicated microsite has already appeared on Flipkart, confirming the phone's imminent arrival and building anticipation among fans of the F series.

The Poco F series has a legacy of offering powerful performance at competitive prices. Starting with the Pocophone F1 in 2018, the series has consistently aimed to "outrun the segment" by providing flagship-level features without the flagship price tag. The Poco F7 aims to continue this tradition.

Rumors and leaks suggest that the Poco F7 will be a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, which is currently exclusive to the Chinese market. If this is accurate, the F7 will boast impressive specifications.

At the heart of the Poco F7 is expected to be the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. This mid-premium processor from Qualcomm promises near-flagship performance, making the phone capable of handling demanding tasks such as gaming and multitasking with ease. The iQOO Neo 10 also utilizes this chip. The phone is also rumored to come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The display is another area where the Poco F7 is expected to shine. Leaks suggest a large 6.83-inch flat LTPO AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution (potentially 1280 x 2800 pixels or 1220 x 2712 pixels), a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. Some sources even suggest a peak brightness of 3,200 nits. This would make the display ideal for gaming, watching videos, and general use, even in bright outdoor conditions.

One of the most talked-about features is the rumored 7,550mAh silicon-carbon battery. This massive battery capacity would provide exceptional battery life, potentially lasting for two days or more on a single charge. To complement this, the phone is expected to support 90W wired fast charging, allowing users to quickly replenish the battery. There is no wireless charging.

In terms of cameras, the Poco F7 is expected to feature a dual-camera setup on the rear. The primary sensor is rumored to be a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor, potentially with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for improved low-light performance and stable video recording. An 8-megapixel ultrawide lens will likely accompany the primary sensor. A 20MP selfie camera is expected on the front.

The Poco F7 is also expected to ship with HyperOS 2, Xiaomi's latest Android-based interface, built over Android 15. This new OS is expected to focus on improved performance, smoother animations, and better resource management. Additional features may include an in-display optical fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speakers, an IR blaster, and IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance. Connectivity features are expected to include Wi-Fi 7, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.4.

The expected price of the Poco F7 in India is between Rs 30,000 and Rs 35,000. However, some reports suggest a slightly higher range of Rs 34,999 to Rs 39,999 for the base variant. If the phone delivers on the rumored specifications and is priced competitively, it could be a strong contender in the mid-range segment.
