Recently, Alia Bhatt was photographed visiting Sanjay Leela Bhansali's house, sparking renewed interest in their upcoming film "Love & War," which also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. The visit occurred amidst swirling rumors regarding potential delays in the film's production schedule.

Bhatt and Kapoor were seen leaving Bhansali's Mumbai office, pausing to pose for the paparazzi. Bhatt sported a blue striped, unbuttoned shirt over a white tee, paired with denim jeans, while Kapoor was dressed casually in a t-shirt, jeans, and a cap. These sightings have naturally led to heightened anticipation among fans eager for updates on the project.

"Love & War" has been the subject of much speculation, particularly concerning its release date. While initially slated for March 20, 2026, reports suggest that a massive war sequence planned for November might cause delays. The extensive post-production work required for such a sequence could push the release to later in 2026, with potential dates in June or during the Independence Day weekend being considered. However, the production house has clarified that "Love & War" is currently on track.

According to reports, severe rains in Mumbai caused damage to the film's set, leading to construction delays and a potential pushback of the commencement of filming to late November or early December. Sanjay Leela Bhansali used this delay to further refine the script and focus on the film's music, and is planning additional workshops with the actors to prepare them for their roles.

Bhansali has clarified that "Love & War" is not a remake of Raj Kapoor's film "Sangam." He stated that he would not remake films like "Sholay" or "Mother India," and emphasized the care and caution he is taking with this project.

Sources indicate that "Love & War" will feature a significant face-off between Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal's characters, potentially one of the biggest sequences ever created in Indian cinema. Preparations for this scene are underway, with filming expected to take place at a grand, undisclosed location. An outdoor segment is planned for post-October in Europe, with SLB having recently conducted a recce in Rome.

Alia Bhatt has described the atmosphere on the set of "Love & War" as intense, stating that there is "no chill day". She added that every scene is given significant importance, with Bhansali pushing the actors to give their all. Ranbir Kapoor echoed this sentiment, calling working on a Bhansali set "daunting" but also acknowledging that "Love and War" is every actor's dream, giving them the opportunity to work with actors like Alia and Vicky and a master like Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He also mentioned that filming often takes place at night, allowing them to spend time with their daughter, Raha, during the day.
