Pratibha Ranta, the actress known for her role in "Laapataa Ladies," has recently shared her deep connection with nature and how it serves as a sanctuary for her amidst a hectic life. Finding solace in greenery, Ranta emphasizes that spending time in nature is the "best way to calm myself from life's stresses."
Ranta, who hails from Himachal Pradesh, has always been drawn to the tranquility of nature. In a recent social media post, she shared a video of herself spending peaceful moments at a farm, surrounded by lush greenery and tending to plants. This connection to her roots is something she cherishes, and she often reflects on how it mirrors the grounded nature of her character, Jaya, from "Laapataa Ladies."
"There are times when busy schedules get to me," Ranta explained, "and I believe that the best way to calm myself from life's stresses is to be one with nature. It's like food for my soul." She further elaborated on how these moments of natural immersion rejuvenate her: "It has helped me rejuvenate myself for quite some time, and I do find solace amid the greenery, simply by watering plants, or looking after the flowers, farming – just being at the greenland. And very frequently do I look forward to take some time off to spend it here. It's absolutely beautiful."
On World Environment Day, Ranta shared glimpses from a trip to her hometown, expressing that nature is her "true inspiration." Her activities included taking walks uphill, which she described as moments of introspection, reminding her of where she comes from and where she aims to go. She posted a photo on a photo-sharing app, writing, "Happy world environment day... Nature is what drives me the most. A walk uphill reminded me of where I come from and where I aim to go. My walks have always been moments of introspection."
Ranta's connection to nature extends beyond stress relief; it's a source of motivation and grounding. She feels blessed to have grown up in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, and makes it a point to return whenever possible. "Whenever I can, I go back home to spend time in nature and with my family. It's really refreshing and instantly makes me feel motivated. There's this voice inside me that screams, 'There's so much more to achieve'," she shared.
Her love for nature and animals is an integral part of who she is. During an interview, she mentioned that when she moved to Mumbai, she felt something was missing until she surrounded herself with plants and adopted two kittens. This connection to the natural world keeps her grounded amidst the challenges of the film industry.
Looking ahead, Pratibha Ranta is gearing up for an upcoming project directed by Anubhuti Kashyap, where she will share screen space with Konkona Sensharma for the first time.
