In a dramatic turn of events in Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat district, a married woman jumped off the roof of a hotel after her husband allegedly found her with another man. The incident, which took place in Baraut town, has sparked a police investigation and raised serious concerns about the woman's safety, with her husband fearing a possible murder plot.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Monday at a hotel on Chaprauli Road in Baraut. The woman had arrived at the hotel with her alleged lover, identified as Shobhit. Shortly after, her husband and in-laws arrived at the scene, apparently having followed her. Seeing them, the woman panicked and jumped off the approximately 12-foot-high hotel roof in an attempt to escape. A video of the incident has surfaced, showing the woman leaping off the rooftop.

Following the incident, the husband filed a complaint with the police, expressing fears for his life and alleging a threat from his wife and her associates. He stated that he had been facing threats and intimidation from his wife, who he claims had been involved with multiple men both before and after their marriage. He further alleged that she had threatened him with false cases and even death if he objected to her actions.

Adding another layer to the already complex situation, the husband revealed that the couple was undergoing marital counseling at the Women's Cell located at the SP office on the day of the incident. He claimed that he saw his wife leaving with her alleged lover on a bike after the counseling session and followed them to the hotel, after which he alerted the police.

Baraut Kotwali Station House Officer (SHO) Manoj Kumar Chahal confirmed that the alleged lover has been detained and is being interrogated. He also stated that the hotel owner, who was renting the property, is being questioned. "The case is under investigation based on the complaint filed by the husband, and necessary action will follow," Chahal added.

The police complaint reveals that the woman was married in 2019 to a man from Kakore village, and they have a son. The husband's allegations paint a picture of a troubled marriage marred by infidelity and threats. The dramatic escape from the hotel roof has only added to the complexity of the case, leaving many questions unanswered. The husband has requested police protection, fearing for his safety in light of the events.
