However, even stars face challenges. In early 2025, Palmer experienced a dip in form, marked by a goal drought across all competitions. This period saw his confidence shaken, with his penalty miss against Leicester City highlighting his struggles. Despite shooting more frequently, the quality of his chances declined, leading to questions about the structure of Chelsea's attack.

Despite these challenges, Palmer remains a vital component of Chelsea's attacking play. His ability to get into the right positions and create chances is still evident, although rediscovering his cutting edge remains a key objective. While his individual form has fluctuated, his overall talent and importance to the team are clear.

Chelsea's attacking unit has seen evolution, with efforts made to reduce the team's reliance solely on Palmer. Coach Enzo Maresca emphasized the importance of distributing responsibility across the attacking players, including Nkunku, Sancho, and Madueke. This shift aims to create a more dynamic and unpredictable attack, preventing opponents from focusing solely on neutralizing Palmer.

As Chelsea navigates the season, Palmer's ability to overcome his recent struggles will be crucial.
