Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) has announced a final dividend of ₹15 per equity share for the financial year 2024-25. This dividend, amounting to a 300% payout on the face value of ₹5 per share, is subject to the approval of shareholders at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). If approved, the dividend will be disbursed to eligible shareholders within 30 days of the AGM.

The record date to determine the eligible shareholders for the HAL final dividend has been fixed as Thursday, August 21, 2025. Under the T+1 settlement system, investors must purchase shares by August 20 to be included in the shareholders' record list.

This final dividend follows an interim dividend of ₹25 per share that HAL paid in February 2025. In fiscal year 2024, HAL distributed a final dividend of ₹13 per share to its shareholders. The total dividend for FY25 so far amounts to ₹40 per share, demonstrating the company's consistent strong cash flows.

The central government, which holds a 71.64% stake in HAL, is expected to receive ₹718.6 crore from this final dividend payout. Dividend receipts from public sector undertakings contribute significantly to the government's non-tax revenue.

In other news, the HAL board has also appointed M/s Murthy & Co. LLP as the Cost Auditor for FY 2025-26.

On June 27, 2025, HAL's share price closed at ₹4,894.7 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), marking a 1.61% increase. The stock has experienced some fluctuations, with a 1.51% loss over the past week and a 1.53% decrease since the beginning of June. However, it has gained 17.25% in the current quarter and 17.22% year-to-date. HAL's market capitalization stands at ₹3.27 lakh crore as of June 27, 2025.

HAL's announcement of the final dividend aligns with its track record of rewarding shareholders regularly. BSE records indicate that HAL has declared dividends a total of 13 times. In 2024, the company paid two dividends: ₹13 and ₹22 per share. In 2023, the payouts were ₹20 and ₹15 per share. Furthermore, the company executed a stock split in 2023, reducing the face value from ₹10 to ₹5 per share.
