At Wimbledon 2025, Indian tennis fans experienced a rollercoaster of emotions as the nation's doubles campaigns unfolded. While some dreams were dashed, Yuki Bhambri kept the Indian flag flying high, progressing further in both the men's and mixed doubles competitions.

Yuki Bhambri, paired with American Robert Galloway, secured a spot in the Round of 16 in the men's doubles event. The duo faced Nuno Borges of Portugal and Marcos Giron of the USA in the second round, where they battled through a tiebreaker in the second set to clinch the win. Bhambri also advanced to the second round of the mixed doubles with his Chinese partner Jiang Xinyu, demonstrating his versatility on the court. They overcame the American duo Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Christian Harrison in a closely contested match, winning 6-3, 1-6, [10-6]. Bhambri and Jiang displayed resilience, holding their nerve in the tiebreak to secure the victory.

N. Sriram Balaji and his Mexican partner Miguel Reyes-Varela started strong, progressing to the second round of the men's doubles after defeating the American team of Learner Tien and Aleksandar Kovacevic. The Indo-Mexican pair won their opening round match comfortably 6-4, 6-4. However, their journey was cut short in the second round by the fourth-seeded Spanish-Argentine duo of Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos. Balaji and Reyes-Varela fought hard but ultimately lost in straight sets, 4-6, 4-6.

Rithvik Bollipalli, partnering with Nicolas Barrientos of Colombia, also faced disappointment in the second round. After a hard-fought victory in their opening match against David Goffin of Belgium and Alexandre Muller of France, where they saved four match points, they couldn't maintain the momentum. Bollipalli and Barrientos lost to Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski.

Veteran Rohan Bopanna, a former French Open men's doubles champion, experienced an early exit from Wimbledon 2025. Partnering with Sander Gille of Belgium, Bopanna lost in the first round to the German third seeds Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz. Arjun Kadhe, along with his Czech partner Vit Kopriva, also bowed out in the opening round after losing to Matthew Christopher Romios of Australia and Ryan Seggerman of the USA. Krish Tyagi made a first round exit in the boys’ singles as well.

Despite the setbacks for Balaji and Bollipalli, their initial progress, along with Bhambri's success, highlighted the growing depth in Indian doubles tennis. Bhambri's continued presence in both the men's and mixed doubles draws ensured that Indian hopes remained alive at Wimbledon 2025.
