Sunny Deol, known for his powerful on-screen presence and impactful dialogue delivery, has revealed the reason behind his occasional irritation with his iconic "Dhai Kilo Ka Haath" dialogue. The dialogue, which originated from the 1993 film Damini, has become synonymous with the actor, but he admits that the constant requests to repeat it can be frustrating.

In a recent interview with Zoom, Deol shared his mixed feelings about the dialogue. While he acknowledges the immense pride he feels in its popularity and the love it receives from fans, he also expressed that the repetitive nature of the requests can sometimes get to him. "Dhai kilo ka haath has become such a thing, initially I used to get so irritated because jahan bhi jao, yeh dialogue bolo, ye dialogue bolo," Deol said. He explained that while he appreciates the pride people take in wanting him to say the dialogue, he feels like there's so much more to his career and artistry than just that one line. "I mean obviously it's a great pride, people are wanting all that but vo kar kar ke fir aadmi todha sa bolta hai ki yahi aur bhi bahut kuch karna hai," he added.

This isn't the first time Deol has spoken about his relationship with the famous dialogue. Earlier this year, he confessed that he "was a little bit not so happy" about using the "dhai kilo ka haath" dialogue in his recent film, Jaat. In an interview with IMDb, he explained that he had initial reservations about incorporating the line into the film. However, he later understood the director's vision and the reason for its inclusion. "I understood why it is required and why the director has conceived that particular dialogue to be there in that scene," Deol said. He also admitted that its use "comes across very well and now everybody is talking about it".

Jaat, directed by Gopichand Malineni, was released in theaters on April 10, 2025. The film features Deol in the lead role, alongside Viineet Kumar Siingh and Randeep Hooda. Jaat tells the story of a man who comes to the rescue of villagers oppressed by a local strongman.

Despite his occasional irritation, Sunny Deol remains grateful for the love and recognition he receives for his work. He is one of Bollywood's most popular actors, known for his powerful performances in action films and his ability to deliver memorable dialogues. Fans can look forward to seeing him in Border 2, scheduled for release on January 22, 2026.
