Kelsey Plum, the Los Angeles Sparks' point guard, ignited social media with a pair of memorable moments during Saturday's game against the Indiana Fever. The 30-year-old, a former No. 1 overall WNBA draft pick, showcased both her exceptional basketball skills and playful personality, leaving fans and commentators buzzing.

In the second quarter, Plum demonstrated her offensive prowess by sinking an impressive shot over Indiana Fever's Natasha Howard. The Sparks' social media team highlighted the play, posting a clip with the caption: "Love it when she 1, 2 steps". This smooth move quickly gained traction online, with fans praising Plum's agility and scoring ability.

However, it was Plum's reaction to a foul that truly captured the internet's attention. Moments after her impressive shot, Plum was fouled. Instead of immediately getting up, she playfully dropped to the floor and performed several push-ups. This lighthearted display drew laughter from fans at the courtside and sparked a flurry of reactions on social media. The Sparks' social media team again joined in the fun, posting a picture with the caption: "Absolutely no one. Kelsey:".

These viral moments occurred during a game where the Indiana Fever were without Caitlin Clark for the fifth straight game due to a groin injury. Aari McDonald continued to start in Clark's place. Plum, who previously played for the Las Vegas Aces, entered the game averaging 20.1 points, 5.7 assists, and 3.2 rebounds per game. In their previous matchup on June 26, 2025, Plum scored 21 points with six assists.

This isn't the first time Plum has been involved in a viral moment with the Indiana Fever. In a previous game against the Fever, Plum jokingly tried to get a technical foul called on the injured Caitlin Clark, who was bantering with a referee near the sideline.

Plum's move to the Los Angeles Sparks this season followed a three-team trade involving Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Seattle. Staying on the West Coast has been a welcome change for Plum, who played college basketball at the University of Washington.
