Lionel Messi delivered a dazzling performance on Saturday, scoring two stunning goals and providing an assist to lead Inter Miami to a 4-1 victory over CF Montreal. The Argentine superstar showcased his brilliance at Stade Saputo, leaving fans in awe with his skillful play and clinical finishing.

The match began with an early setback for Inter Miami, as Montreal's Prince Owusu capitalized on a Messi giveaway to score just two minutes into the game. However, Miami quickly regrouped, and Messi orchestrated the comeback. In the 33rd minute, Messi assisted Tadeo Allende, who scored to tie the game 1-1. Then, just before halftime, Messi received a pass from Luis Suárez, dribbled into the box, and unleashed a left-footed shot to the far post, giving Inter Miami a 2-1 lead.

The second half saw Miami continue to dominate. In the 60th minute, Telasco Segovia extended their lead, making it 3-1. Two minutes later, Messi scored his second goal of the night, weaving through Montreal's defense with exceptional footwork and firing the ball into the top-right corner. This highlight-reel goal brought the crowd to its feet and sealed the victory for Inter Miami.

Messi's performance was a masterclass in attacking prowess. His first goal showcased his precision and finesse, while his second highlighted his exceptional dribbling skills and ability to create space in tight situations. Throughout the match, Messi's presence was a constant threat to Montreal's defense, and his contributions were crucial in securing the win for Inter Miami. With these two goals, Messi has brought his total to 12 goals in 14 MLS games this season.

The victory moves Inter Miami to 32 points on the season with 17 matches played. For Montreal, the loss adds to their struggles, as they sit at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with only one home win in 10 outings.

The atmosphere at Stade Saputo was electric, with a sellout crowd filled with fans eager to witness Messi's magic. Many wore Argentine blue and Inter Miami pink jerseys, chanting "Messi! Messi! Messi!" throughout the match. The anticipation was palpable, with fans crowding the sidelines during Messi's corner kicks and gathering outside the team's hotel to catch a glimpse of the global icon. This was Messi's fourth match on Canadian soil, and second in Montreal. He previously played in Montreal on May 11, 2024, in a 3-2 Miami victory.

Inter Miami's win against Montreal marked their return to MLS action after participating in the FIFA Club World Cup. Despite a 4-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the round of 16, the team showed resilience and determination in bouncing back with a strong performance against Montreal.
