In Nagpur, Maharashtra, a woman and her lover have been arrested for allegedly murdering her bedridden husband. The incident occurred in the Tarodi Khurd area of Nagpur. Disha Ramteke, 30, and her lover, Asif Islam Ansari, also known as Rajababu Tyrewala, 28, are accused of killing 38-year-old Chandrasen Ramteke.
Chandrasen Ramteke had been bedridden for approximately two years after suffering a paralytic attack. Disha supported the family by selling water cans. According to police reports, Chandrasen discovered Disha's affair with Asif and objected, leading to increased tension between the couple.
On the day of the murder, Disha called Asif to their home. While Disha held Chandrasen's hands down, Asif allegedly smothered him with a pillow until he died. Initially, Disha and Asif attempted to pass off Chandrasen's death as natural. However, the post-mortem examination revealed signs of smothering, contradicting their claims. During police questioning, Disha confessed to the crime. Authorities have registered a murder case and are continuing their investigation.
Disha and Chandrasen were married for 13 years and have two daughters and a six-year-old son. The Wathoda Police Station is handling the case.
