The England and India women's cricket teams are currently engaged in a thrilling five-match T20I series in England. India currently leads the series 2-1.

The series began with India securing a dominant victory in the first T20I at Trent Bridge, winning by a record margin of 97 runs. India continued their winning streak in the second match at Bristol, clinching a 24-run victory.

However, England bounced back in the third T20I at The Oval, winning a last-over thriller by five runs. Sophia Dunkley and Danni Wyatt-Hodge's 137-run partnership helped the hosts set a challenging target of 172. Despite a strong start by India, England's bowlers held their nerve to secure the win and keep the series alive. The Indian cricket team lost a final over thriller to England by just five runs at The Oval on Friday. Richa Ghosh's wicket in the penultimate over didn't help India's cause either as 12 were needed off the final over with Indian T20 captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Amanjot Kaur on the crease. Lauren Bell, bowling the final over for England, gave away just six-runs and dismissed Harmanpreet off the last delivery of the match to send her team-mates and home support into a frenzy.

The fourth T20I is scheduled to take place today, July 9, 2025, at Old Trafford in Manchester. Both teams will be eager to win this crucial match, with India aiming to secure the series victory and England looking to level the score.

The series will conclude with the fifth T20I on July 12, 2025, at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

Key players to watch out for in the England team include Natalie Sciver, Danielle Wyatt, Alice Capsey and Sophie Ecclestone. The Indian team boasts talented players such as Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, and Jemimah Rodrigues.

Following the T20I series, the two teams will also compete in a three-match ODI series. The ODI series will commence on July 16, 2025, at The Rose Bowl in Southampton. The second ODI will be held on July 19, 2025, at Lord's in London, and the final ODI will take place on July 22, 2025, at the Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street.
