Varun Dhawan has completed the NDA schedule for his upcoming film ‘Border 2’ in Pune. The actor shared a video on Instagram announcing the wrap, showing him enjoying tea and biscuits with his co-star, Ahan Shetty. He captioned the post, "#Border2 Chai aur bizkoot it's a wrap for me at NDA Aur humna celebrate kiya bizkoot ke saath". In the video, Dhawan is seen relaxing by a poolside, enjoying the monsoon rains in Pune while having tea and biscuits. He humorously dips a biscuit in his tea and offers it to Shetty.

‘Border 2’ is the sequel to the 1997 film ‘Border’ and aims to celebrate the unsung stories of the Indian armed forces. The film boasts scale, emotion, and authenticity, promising to be a tribute to the spirit of Indian soldiers. The cast includes Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. The film is directed by Anurag Singh and backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta. It is presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series, in association with J.P. Dutta's J.P. Films.

The film's schedule at the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Pune included shooting a high-energy cadet song featuring Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, and Sunny Deol together in army uniforms for the first time. The song shoot took place over three days, from July 1 to July 3, 2025. The music is composed by Anu Malik, and Ganesh Acharya is the choreographer.

Varun Dhawan was recently spotted on set with a clean-shaven look, a change from the moustache he sported during an earlier shoot. He was seen wearing a checkered orange-and-white shirt and interacting with fans. Diljit Dosanjh also shared a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot, revealing that unexpected rain had halted filming for a day.

‘Border 2’ is scheduled to release on January 23, 2026.
