Indianapolis is set to host the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on July 19, marking the first time the city has hosted the league's midseason showcase. The weekend promises a blend of basketball, entertainment, and culture, with Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark set to be a central figure.

Clark's presence is especially significant as she will be making her debut in the WNBA All-Star 3-Point Contest. The contest is scheduled for July 18, adding to the excitement surrounding the All-Star weekend. Clark, known for her long-range shooting prowess, declined to participate in the event last year, but decided to make her debut in front of her home fans in Indianapolis. She had also declined participating in another version of an NBA vs. WNBA 3-point contest at the NBA’s All-Star weekend in San Francisco in February.

"She wants her first 3-point contest to be at WNBA All-Star in Indianapolis this summer," her representatives at Excel Sports said in a statement in February.

Despite a slight shooting slump this season, where she's shooting 28.9% from 3-point range, Clark remains a favorite to win the contest. Her participation is highly anticipated, and she will be competing against other top WNBA players, including Sabrina Ionescu, Allisha Gray, Kelsey Plum and Sonia Citron. Holding the event at Gainbridge Fieldhouse could be a massive help, as Clark is shooting 39 percent from three-point range at home this season.

Clark's impact on the game is undeniable. She received a record 1,293,526 fan votes, and was named All-Star captain alongside Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier. Clark chose her Fever teammate Aliyah Boston as her first pick during the All-Star draft. Clark also picked Kelsey Mitchell, uniting the Fever's "Big Three" for the All-Star Game. Sandy Brondello and her New York Liberty staff will coach Team Clark.

Beyond the game itself, WNBA All-Star 2025 in Indianapolis will feature a variety of events. WNBA Live, an interactive event celebrating the intersection of basketball, entertainment, and culture, will take place at the Indiana Convention Center on July 18-19. The inaugural Fever Fest will be held at Everwise Amphitheater on July 19, featuring performances by The Kid LAROI, Cedric the Entertainer, Leslie Jones, and others. The WNBA All-Star Bounce, where children can dribble a basketball through downtown, will also take place.

The All-Star Game will be broadcast on ABC, Disney+, and ESPN+. The game will feature Team Clark against Team Collier.

The 2025 WNBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis promises to be a memorable event, highlighted by Caitlin Clark's All-Star debut and her participation in the 3-Point Contest. The weekend will offer a range of activities for fans, celebrating the WNBA and its impact on sports and culture.
