The highly anticipated "Hera Pheri 3" is officially back on track, with Akshay Kumar confirming that the project is moving forward. After months of speculation and uncertainty, the original trio of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty are set to reunite, much to the delight of fans of the iconic comedy franchise.

Akshay Kumar addressed the complications that had plagued the film's development, stating that "everything is solved, we're back together". This announcement follows reports of issues between the cast members, including Paresh Rawal's initial exit from the film. Rawal himself confirmed his return, stating that any disagreements have been resolved and production will continue as planned. "There is no controversy," Rawal said, emphasizing the responsibility the team feels towards the audience who cherish the franchise. He added that "It was going to happen anyway. But sometimes, you need to fine-tune things with one another because all involved are creative minds".

The road to "Hera Pheri 3" has been a long and winding one. There were reports that Akshay Kumar had acquired the rights to the "Hera Pheri" series. It was reported that Akshay Kumar sued Paresh Rawal for ₹25 crore. However, Rawal clarified that his decision to step away was based on legitimate concerns and that he returned the signing amount with interest, emphasizing that there was no ill will involved.

Director Priyadarshan, who directed the first "Hera Pheri" film, also confirmed that the threequel is back on track after Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty resolved their issues. He mentioned that both Akshay and Paresh called him to say that everything is sorted. Priyadarshan is expected to start writing the script, with production planned to commence by the end of the year and a release targeted for the following year.

The original "Hera Pheri" was released in 2000, followed by "Phir Hera Pheri" in 2006. The films, known for their slapstick humor and memorable characters, have gained a cult following over the years. With the original cast and director reuniting, "Hera Pheri 3" aims to recapture the magic of the first two films and deliver another dose of laughter to audiences.
