Akshay Kumar addressed the complications that had plagued the film's development, stating that "everything is solved, we're back together". This announcement follows reports of issues between the cast members, including Paresh Rawal's initial exit from the film. Rawal himself confirmed his return, stating that any disagreements have been resolved and production will continue as planned. "There is no controversy," Rawal said, emphasizing the responsibility the team feels towards the audience who cherish the franchise. He added that "It was going to happen anyway. But sometimes, you need to fine-tune things with one another because all involved are creative minds".

The road to "Hera Pheri 3" has been a long and winding one. There were reports that Akshay Kumar had acquired the rights to the "Hera Pheri" series. It was reported that Akshay Kumar sued Paresh Rawal for ₹25 crore.
