The release of the crime thriller "So Long Valley" has been marred by controversy, with producer and director Man Singh filing a ₹10 crore defamation suit against actress Ruchi Gujjar. This legal action follows a tumultuous premiere event where Gujjar allegedly disrupted the proceedings, throwing a sandal and water bottle at Singh, which led to the Amboli Police registering an FIR against her and six others.

Singh has accused Gujjar of conspiracy, making threats, and causing disruptions with the intention of inflicting financial losses and tarnishing the film's reputation. According to an official statement, Gujjar allegedly paid ₹20-30 lakh to her friend Karan Chauhan and also attempted to dissuade several cast members from participating in the film. Furthermore, she is believed to have unsuccessfully tried to block the film's release by filing a court application, which was dismissed, with the court affirming that Gujjar had no financial or contractual ties to the production company and therefore no grounds to halt the movie's release.

Addressing the media after the premiere incident, Singh strongly condemned Gujjar's behavior. He stated that the film has suffered significant financial repercussions and negative publicity due to Gujjar's false allegations and threats. He further claimed that Gujjar had intimidated actors and service providers, despite not being involved in the film's production. Singh's legal team has confirmed that legal proceedings have commenced and that further actions against Gujjar are being considered.

Gujjar, on the other hand, had previously filed a civil suit in the Dindoshi Civil Court against the makers and cast of "So Long Valley". In her suit, she alleges fraud, breach of trust, and financial cheating, claiming she was defrauded of INR 23 lacs under the false promise of co-producer credits and profit-sharing in the film. She has targeted Sourya Studios & Z9 Productions, the production houses, citing financial non-transparency. Gujjar's lawsuit also included allegations against actors Akanksha Puri, Tridha Choudhary, and Vikram Kochar, claiming they promoted the film despite unresolved investor disputes and that Chauhan threatened her in February 2024. Gujjar is seeking legal recognition as a co-producer of "So Long Valley," a complete audit of the film's finances, and a permanent injunction to prevent the film's release unless she is compensated with INR 23 lac.

"So Long Valley," starring Tridha Choudhary, Akanksha Puri, and Man Singh, was released on July 25 amidst this ongoing legal battle.
